IDEAL IMPLANT® SCOTTSDALE

When it comes to breast implants, most people think they only have two options: saline or silicone. While this may have been true in the past, it is no longer the case.

Modern-day technology has allowed for a number of advancements in the field of breast augmentation. Now, there is a wide variety of implants that each offer their own unique advantages and benefits. There are so many options now that it may feel a bit overwhelming.

Our goal at the Plastic Surgery Center of Scottsdale is to provide our patients with excellent care and results. Part of that is providing them with the information they need regarding the procedure they are interested in. That is why we offer several breast-implant options to choose from, including the IDEAL IMPLANT® Structured Breast Implant.

The IDEAL Advantage

The classic breakdown of silicone vs. saline implants is that silicone implants tend to feel and look more natural, while saline implants are more affordable option that can still provide great results. Thanks to advancements in the field of implants, it works a bit differently now.

Now available in our office in the Scottsdale area is the IDEAL IMPLANT. The IDEAL IMPLANT is a new third type of implant that has revolutionized the kind of results that are possible with saline implants. IDEAL IMPLANTS are filled with saline, but they have a unique and advanced internal structure that make them behave as if they were filled with silicone gel.

The IDEAL IMPLANT contains a series of nested shells. These multiple shells provide support to the edges of the implant and control the movement of the saline in order to prevent bouncing. The result is an implant that combines certain key features and benefits of both saline and silicone gel implants.

Like the traditional saline implant, the filling is saline. This is often preferred for peace of mind in case of a rupture/deflation, since it can be difficult to tell if a silicone implant has been ruptured without an FDA-recommended MRI scan. With the IDEAL IMPLANT, women can simply look in the mirror and know their implants are intact.

Like the silicone implants, the IDEAL IMPLANT has a very natural feel In addition, clinical trial results at eight years after primary breast augmentation show that the IDEAL IMPLANT has a lower rate of capsular contracture and a lower rate of rupture than traditional silicone and saline implants.

Who Is a Candidate for the IDEAL IMPLANT?

Patients who want the look and feel of silicone implants but have safety concerns about silicone are often candidates for the IDEAL IMPLANT. Candidates for the IDEAL IMPLANT must be in good physical health, have fully developed breasts, and have realistic expectations for the outcome of their breast augmentation surgery.

IDEAL IMPLANT Aftercare

Following an IDEAL IMPLANT procedure, patients will be given detailed instructions to guide them through their recovery. These instructions will explain how to care for the incision sites and how to promote optimal results.

Rest is an important part of recovering from breast implant surgery, so a week or more of downtime should be expected. Patients will need to sleep on their back to avoid putting any pressure on the affected area as it heals. Similarly, patients must protect the breasts from excessive force and motion until otherwise advised by Dr. Daiza.

How Much Does an IDEAL IMPLANT Cost?

A number of factors can affect the cost of an IDEAL IMPLANT procedure, so the price differs from case to case. Cost details will be reviewed during the patient’s consultation.
